Healing Hands International works to aid those who are suffering from hunger and starvation. But even more, HHI works to restore and rebuild local communities. Through workshops and education, local community members learn how to work together and build an efficient agricultural economy. They learn how to provide for their own needs, and they are trained to teach others to do the same.
Once immediate needs have been met, HHI seeks to continue its efforts to restore the community by teaching individuals how to provide for their own needs by practicing simple sustainable technologies that make use of local resources.
Tonight, 800 million people will go to bed hungry.
