One of Healing Hands International’s (HHI) longest standing programs is still making a life-changing impact across the globe. HHI’s Disaster Response Program is lending a hand to many across the globe, showing love to many who otherwise may be forgotten.
One such place HHI is reaching is Malawi. Recently, Malawi has been undergoing a severe drought that is affecting not just their clean water, but also their already limited food supplies. Of the 28 districts in Malawi, 25 have been affected and are experiencing extreme food poverty.
With the help of our partner, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), HHI has been able to raise funds for, pack, and send 950 cartons of manna packets. These life-saving manna packets are being distributed to all who have need in the communities of Malawi.
One such community is Mzimba. Senior chief, Longwe Kamanga, commends not just HHI but also FMSC for their timely help of food for all. The food donated by many generous donors will be the sole source of food for many until the long-awaited harvest in April or May. Longwe says to all who were involved, “May God bless you.”
