So many times, women have the ability and the desire, to start their own businesses. The same can be said about the women in the Asokoro village in Nigeria. Many of the 35 participants were already paving a way for a better future for themselves and their families. The goal of Healing Hands International’s Women of Hope program is to build up the women of the community by expanding upon their God-given talents.
Rose Moses, a mother and a chef, was extremely grateful to have the opportunity to expand her knowledge to include many more skills such as money management, and how to save. She intends to take the essential skills from the conference and turn them into a secondary income for her and her family. Not only will Rose use this secondary income to help support her family, she intends to help the Lord’s church.
HHI is grateful for the willingness of every woman involved to learn and seek after a better future not just for them, but their whole community. This group of women highlighted the effort to show that it is all possible through God and that it is Him who gives everyone their gifts. Rose said it best, “doing business in the Lord is indeed the best way to start.”
